Oaktree International Sports & Entertainment Ventures (OISEV) will Serve as Official Promoter of Group B of the 2025 Copa América de Béisbol

In partnership with the government of Panama, Oaktree International Sports & Entertainment Ventures (OISEV)today announced it will serve as the official promoter of Group B of the 2025Copa América de Béisbol, the first ever tournament of its kind, bringing together the top 12 teams from North America, Central and South America and the Caribbean, as ranked by WBSC.

Carone, Partner at OISEV. “Our strategic partnership with the government of Panama as the host, reflects a commitment to high caliber infrastructure, and ensures operational success and long-term viability of the 2025 Copa América de Béisbol.”

 

The Copa América de Béisbol, created by WBSC Américas and its Board of Directors, represents the realization of along-standing dream—to bring together the 12 best national teams from across the Americas in a premier international baseball tournament.

 

“We have been working on this event called Copa América for years” president of WBSC América Aracelis León said. “Between all the Federations of Baseball in América we have been trying to make this a reality”

 

The 12 teams will not only be participating for the goal of being the best team in America, but also for spots to other international events such as the Central America and Caribbean games, and also for the Pan American games.

 

“We are convinced that this will be a successful tournament,” said Aracelis León. “For the Americas to have the Copa América with the best ball players of each country looking to secure spots for the Central American and Caribbean games or Pan American games makes this event very important.

 

For the 12 nations that will be competing in the event it is a chance to make history and become the first champion of the event created by WBSC Américas. This tournament will look to become the most important of its kind in the continent, unifying the competition between the top countries of north, central, south America and the Caribbean, with the goal to show the world that the best baseball in the planet is played in America.

Cementing Panama's deep-rooted baseball heritage, the tournament will also serve to elevate international baseball throughout the Americas.  

 

Group B will be held at the Mariano Rivera Stadium in Panama City from November 13th to 22nd.The stadium seats over 10,000, sports LED lighting, private boxes, and dedicated broadcast booths.  TixBase will serve as the official provider for the 2025 Copa Amer, delivering robust, cloud-based ticketing, including multilingual capabilities and real time QR Code validation.

 

OISEV is also working closely with Panama’s tourism board, PROMTUR Panamá, and with one of its leading advertising companies to launch an effective marketing campaign built to leverage the country’s vibrant baseball culture and its central geographic location. Included are local print media, TV, digital streaming, and radio as well as a documentary series.

 

In addition, OISEV will partner with select hotel properties known for their exceptional hospitality, providing modern accommodations and 24/7 on-site security to ensure the safety and comfort of players, officials, and VIP guests.

The twelve best teams in the Americas and the Caribbean as ranked by WBSC are: 1) Venezuela, 2) Mexico, 3)United States, 4) Panama, 5) Puerto Rico, 6) Cuba, 7) Dominican Republic, 8)Colombia, 9) Nicaragua, 10) Canada, 11) Brazil, and 12) Curaçao will participate in the event. The Opening Round will be hosted in Panama, where, in addition to the host of Group A the nations of Venezuela, the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Brazil, and Curaçao will compete.

About Patricia Lynch:

About Aracelis León:

Aracelis León is the current president of WBSC Americas, the first woman to be elected for this position and the first Venezuelan since 1989 to be named president. She is also on her third term as president of FEVEBEISBOL, also de first woman elected for this position in the Venezuelan Baseball Federation.

Aracelis León is also Continental Vice President for WBSC (World Baseball and Softball Confederation) and she also serves as the 4th Vice President of the Venezuelan Olympic Committee.

The Venezuelan Sports Journalism Association awarded Aracelis Leon the distinction of best Sports Director in 2024 after a year in which Venezuela reached the top of the ranking in baseball for America and third in the world.
