Lewis, who previously served as New York Governor Kathy Hochul’s chief of staff, will join the firm founded by Frank Carone, who served as chief of staff to New York City Mayor Eric Adams. This marks the first time that the chief of staff for New York State’s governor and New York City’s mayor have teamed up to provide strategic counsel to clients across the private sector.

Prior to joining Oaktree Solutions, Lewis served in a number of senior roles throughout New York State government, most recently as a Senior Advisor to Governor Hochul’s campaign and the New York State Democratic Party, where he helped elect the first female Governor in New York’s history. During his tenure as Chief of Staff to the Governor, Lewis oversaw all executive operations with a commitment to ensuring that state government worked seamlessly to serve the people of New York and accomplish Governor Hochul's agenda.
